From exquisite gourmet creations to homespun comfort foods, the Chef and his team prepare each with the finest ingredients. Experience on-course delicacies, too, ranging from handmade steak fajitas and lobster corndogs to Mirabel’s legendary homemade beef jerky – one of Mirabel’s spirited traditions.

A full complement of catering services are also available to members including in-home catering; party planning services for private functions; wine-cellar dinners and our unique wine buying program, to name just a few. Joshua Fuehr, Executive Chef: With over 15 years in the food and beverage industry, Joshua Fuehr was promoted to Executive Chef at Mirabel in October, 2008 after serving as our Sous Chef for two years. Josh graduated from The Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Culinary Arts. Josh completed his externship at Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale and subsequently joined their culinary team on a full time basis after graduation.  While at Desert Highlands Josh was promoted to Sous Chef under Executive Chef Michael Hoobler. Josh’s passion for cooking spills over into the unique, hands on cooking classes he instructs to almost always sold out audiences of Mirabel members and guests. Josh enjoys spending his spare time with his wife Jenny and two boys, Kaleb and Xander. He loves the outdoors and cooking for his family and friends.

Amanda Burt, Food & Beverage Manager

Amanda Burt, Food and Beverage Manager: A native of Cheney, KS, Amanda spent the summer of her senior year of high school in Africa, teaching sign language in the deaf schools.  Upon graduation, she moved to the Kansas City area where she spent over 7 years working in private clubs.  She was most recently the Food and Beverage Manager at Mission Hills Country Club.  Amanda has been involved in the planning and execution of three CCSAKC Swim Championships and two Dive Championships.  She has worked in all aspects of the club, from the pro shop, beverage cart, pool, kitchen, dining room and banquets.  Amanda has also been a member of Club Manager’s Association of America for four years, and has spent the last three years working part time as the Mid America Chapter’s Managing Director.  She has successfully planned and executed the Mid America Chapter’s annual golf tournament for three consecutive years.  Her goal is to become a Certified Club Manager, as well as continuing to pursue her degree in hospitality management.  Amanda moved to Arizona with her dog, Jack in October, 2011 to join Mirabel as our Food & Beverage Manager.  She is extremely excited about her move, but her heart will always belong to KU basketball and the KC Chiefs.
