Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts

Located in Scottsdale’s Civic Center, this center presents more than 200 diverse performances each year in dance, world music, jazz, classical music and theatre.

Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Arts (SMoCA)

SMoCA is also located in Scottsdale’s Civic Center and exhibits contemporary and modern art, architecture and design from around the world. On display in their minimalist surroundings are five main galleries and an outdoor sculpture garden, showcasing works from its growing permanent collection and major traveling exhibitions.

Desert Botanical Gardens

Explore the wonders of nature at this renowned desert museum. For more than 70 years, Desert Botanical Gardens has been teaching and inspiring visitors from the local community and around the world, providing research, exhibits and more designed to help us understand, protect and preserve the desert’s natural beauty.

Scottsdale Desert Stages

Located in a beautiful 6,500-square-foot art deco building on the corner of Scottsdale Road and Highland Avenue in downtown Scottsdale, Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre is an award-winning, non-profit performing arts theatre committed to offering high-quality entertainment to suit a variety of ages and musical tastes on its two stages. In addition to its full-range of entertainment offerings, the theatre operates a year-round Academy of Theatrical Arts and popular Summer Camp for Young Actors ages 3-15.

Desert Foothills Theater

Located in the Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center, The Desert Foothills Theater has been providing a rich theater experience to the region for more than 34 years. Performances have a wide appeal – from romantic comedy to youth theater to theatricals – and provide an enjoyable experience for all.

The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM)

“The most extraordinary museum you will ever hear!” This is the first global instrument museum in the world. MIM showcases more than 1,000 instruments from around the world and explores the origin of musical instruments and their sound by country. With its state-of-the-art audio/visual technology, it’s a wonderfully interactive museum and fun for the entire family. MIM is located right off Route 101 at Mayo Blvd.

Scottsdale Downtown

Here, in the heart of the city’s art scene, you can discover Scottsdale past and present. Stroll by the waterfront canal and window shop. You will find some of the finest art galleries, specialty retail, cultural attractions and dining in the Valley. Major League Baseball Spring Training

If it’s springtime, it’s baseball and that means Spring Training for the Cactus League. Arizona has several venues to watch some of baseball’s biggest hitters: Glendale, Tucson, Peoria, Surprise, Phoenix and two in Scottsdale. Scottsdale Stadium is home of spring training for the San Francisco Giants and is located off Route 101 on Osborn Road.
