The Mirabel Club Breaks Ground on $6 Million Master Facilities Plan, Expanding and Updating its Clubhouse, Outdoor Dining and Socializing Areas and Athletic Complex

Scottsdale, AZ-May 18, 2020 - The Mirabel Club is excited to announce that earlier this month it broke ground on its 2020 Master Facilities Plan construction project - a $6 Million, member-driven and approved project to renovate and expand its Desert Lodge Clubhouse and facilities.  The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.

The Project was developed as a result of member feedback from the Club's member survey process as well as Club management's awareness of industry and market trends.  The Club regularly analyzes what members want and what other premier private clubs in the greater Scottsdale area are providing or planning to provide to their members.  Marcie Mills, CCM, the General Manager/COO of The Mirabel Club stated that "At the core of our plan is Mirabel's commitment to serve our members now and into the future.  We believe that a premier club must always provide amenities and maintain facilities that are viewed by our members and prospective members as 'best in class'.  Our core commitment to our members is to do just that so that they can fully enjoy their club.  We are very excited about our finished project and the enjoyment that it is expected to provide to our members."

Mirabel's construction project will cover five major areas within the Club's operations.  The clubhouse itself will see a stunning new indoor and outdoor peninsula bar added, with full glass sliding walls and amazing down valley views (including the city lights of Scottsdale and Phoenix!), as well as increased casual dining space, outdoor patio dining space with additional fire pits, a private dining room and two new glass walled wine rooms.  The Club's commercial kitchen will be enlarged to handle additional dining needs, and upgraded to increase food service efficiency and capacity.  The Fitness Center will double in size (adding 2400 square feet), with dedicated areas for stretching, additional free weight equipment, Pilates and other classes.  Locker rooms will be updated as part of the plan, and additional space will be available for more salon and spa services.  The front entrance to the clubhouse will be updated with refreshed landscaping, improved lighting and water features.  Lastly, the Tennis & Racquet Center will be expanded to include four new Pickleball Courts, as that sport continues to grow in popularity among members and prospective members.

Nationally recognized and locally based Phoenix/Scottsdale construction and design firms are executing on Mirabel's project.  PHX Architecture, led by award-winning architect Erik Peterson, is the project's architecture firm.  PHX specializes in commercial, boutique hospitality, restaurant, clubhouse and custom, high-end residential design.  Mr. Peterson stated that "PHX is truly honored to be involved in the Mirabel project.  We are working with one of the most gorgeous, Frank Lloyd Wright design-inspired desert lodge clubhouses, and updating and expanding it to further take advantage of some of the most dramatic views in the valley.  We believe that the finished product will be truly stunning and will provide years of enjoyment to the club's members.  It is truly a special project."  A. R. Mays, an Arizona based construction company specializing in managing commercial projects throughout the Southwest region of the country, will act as general contractor.  Vallone Design (Donna Vallone), a four-time winner of the Top Interior Design Firm in Arizona, led by Niki Saulino and Miriam Banquil, will act as the design team on the project.  Greey/ Pickett will lead on the landscape design efforts.
